چکیده
Operating at high efficiency is one of the prerequisites sustainable forest operations. Typically, harvesters are designed to operate in tree felling and processing operations under cut-to-length method. However, reasons such as limited business opportunities during year may negatively affect machine utilization rate. Coupled with ownership costs, this results economic sustainability problems. With mind, some practitioners have started replace traditional bucking conducted motor-manually landing full mechanization using harvesters. This study evaluates productive performance, fuel consumption, cost, recovery rate wood by a single-grip harvester. A total 27 bunches were taken into study, containing 232 stems stem parts, which processed 913 logs. work cycle averaged 1.5 min but varied widely between 0.3 7 min. Dominant time elements swinging grab stems, process, piling logs, accounted for 86% time. Fuel consumption was estimated 21 L/h 0.78 L/m3, respectively. Efficiency 0.047 PMH/m3, productivity 21.41 m3/PMH; global 95%, costs range 10 11 €/m3. Although there attempts develop dependence models efficiency, productivity, functions length, input volume, number worked only productivity. The best-fitted explained power linear equations, taking volume predictor. In addition their practical application, be important planning control operations, comparison other ways implementing or optimizing larger systems.

Evaluation of Combine Harvester Fuel Consumption and Operation Costs
The aim of this paper is a comparison of the operating parameters of combine harvesters on a selected farm. The working parameters were measured and evaluated on combine harvesters of the CLAAS and CASE IH brand by different ages and different concepts of threshing. Measuring took place in the season of 2013 and 2014 (Lexion 770 in 2012 too). Working parameters in this case mean the performance...
متن کاملFuel Consumption Estimation System and Method with Lower Cost
This study proposes a fuel consumption estimation system and method with lower cost. On-board units can report vehicle speed, and user devices can send fuel information to a data analysis server. Then the data analysis server can use the proposed fuel consumption estimation method to estimate the fuel consumption based on driver behaviours without fuel sensors for cost savings. The proposed fue...
متن کاملHigh rate copper and energy recovery in microbial fuel cells
Bioelectrochemical systems (BESs) are a novel, promising technology for the recovery of metals. The prerequisite for upscaling from laboratory to industrial size is that high current and high power densities can be produced. In this study we report the recovery of copper from a copper sulfate stream (2 g L(-1) Cu(2+)) using a laboratory scale BES at high rate. To achieve this, we used a novel c...
متن کاملA Methodology for Modeling the Influence of Construction Machinery Operators on Productivity and Fuel Consumption
This paper is concerned with modeling the actions of a human operator of construction machinery and integrating this operator model into a large, complex simulation model of the complete machine and its environment. Because human operators to a large degree affect how the machine is run, adaptive operator models are a necessity when the simulation goal is quantification and optimization of prod...
متن کاملA Model for Runway Landing Flow and Capacity with Risk and Cost Benefit Factors
As the demand for the civil aviation has been growing for decades and the system becoming increasingly complex, the use of systems engineering and operations research tools have shown to be of further use in managing this system. In this study, we apply such tools in managing landing operations on runways (as the bottleneck and highly valuable resources of air transportation networks) to handle...
